Dear RMS Customer,
We think that your issue can be solved based upon the knowledge article below.
Knowledge Article Title: | RMS Gateways Encryption |
Description: | After carrying out a firmware update on the RMS-GW to the V2.3, the updated device goes into timeout. |
Keywords: | Firmware upgrade, V2.3, encryption, wrong Path, slash, double slash, RMS-GW |
Software Edition: | RMS On-Premise |
Software Version: | As of V2.0.0 |
R&D Project Number: | N/A |
Product Part Number: | RMS-GW |
Product Firmware Version: | V2.3 |
Issue: |
All of the LAN based devices need a path to communicate with the RMS software application (ex: /wService/wService3.DeviceService.svc/). In some cases there is a slash "/" at the end. If you carry out a RMS-GW firmware update from V1.5 to V2.3, the system will automatically add a hidden (the bold part) second slash and the word encryption "//encryption". In this case, the "/encryption" path will trigger the device timeout. |
Solution: | Delete the slash in the RMS-Config software before updating the LAN device and save the settings. Warning: the device is write protected and may need to be deactivated in the RMS software. |
Details: | This is valid for all LAN devices of the RMS portfolio. |
